Nutrition

It's surprising to many how simple it can be to treat many ailments through diet alone. Whether knocking out a coming cold or improving the underlying conditions of a more serious issue, nutrition is a focal point of effective Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture care.

Fire Cupping or Dry Cupping

Made internationally famous by the marks on Michael Phelps' back during the Rio de Janeiro Olympics, cupping feels much better than it looks in aftermath. Cupping is prescribed for pain management, to relieve fever and cold, and to improve blood circulation. If you're interested, ask a practitioner at our Clinic to see if it could help you.

Aromatherapy

We're big proponents of aromatherapy as a supplement to Acupuncture treatments. We exclusively use high-quality Aroma Foundry essential oils at the Clinic, and they're available for sale near the checkout counter. If you come in for a treatment, you'll likely be asked if you'd like a couple drops under the nose and on the temples. It can be extremely uplifting.

Fertility /Reproductive Health

One of the main focuses of Tram's studies and work at Yo San Community Clinic was women's reproductive health. She had a dream to help families make their future planning goals come true. The combination of acupuncture and appropriate herbs can help the body reach its optimal fertile state through balancing hormone levels and improving overall health. Some couples are surprised to learn it can apply to and benefit both women AND men. Call and ask to speak to Tram about your situation today.

Women’s Health

Tram's main passion, alongside Pain Management, is Women's Health. She takes pride in assisting women in dealing with any anatomy-related problems and has found success in mitigating menopausal and menstrual conditions, to name a few examples.

Facial Rejuvenation

Before giving up in your battle with wrinkles or turning to plastic surgery, try a set of facial rejuvenation treatments! Many patients leave describing sessions as feeling "like a mini-facelift". We use the thinnest acupuncture needles to stimulate blood flow in the face, and we supplement treatment with all-natural medicinal facial ointments and creams that many swear by after trying.

Far Infrared Heat Therapy

Nearly every acupuncture treatment at the clinic incorporates the use of Far Infrared Heat Therapy. Every room is set-up with a system as it's been shown to help with pain recovery by bringing warmth to affected areas and promoting release of stagnated energy in injured or painful areas.

Ear Seeds

Chinese Medicine believes sees the ear as a microcosm or reflection of the whole body. We apply ear seeds at the end of many treatments so the patient will continue benefiting from treatment sessions even when outside of the Clinic. Anxiety sufferers in particular often find comfort from them.

Ear Seeds

Auricular (Ear) Acupuncture

The ears are one of the most powerful and beneficial areas to apply acupuncture needles. You'll feel the power of the area immediately when the needles are inserted. Auricular points are typically stimulated last during an acupuncture treatment.

Acupressure/Tui Na

Tui na is used to stimulate the strongest pressure points, improve circulate, and smooth energy disharmony along meridians. Tui na also helps with diagnosis by allowing the practitioner to see which channels are deficient.

Gua Sha

Gua sha is a process of detoxifying the skin and muscles by scraping them, breaking up the weak blood capillaries to promote new blood circulation. It creates a strong sensation, causing an inflammation-like reaction, and even bruising in tough cases. It achieves a similar goal as cupping, helping with recovery time from cold and flu.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is like a therapeutic incense. The fire never makes direct contact with the skin, rather the therapeutic smoke penetrates the body directly at the scene of problematic areas. It's often prescribed as a treatment for old sports injuries (ankle sprains that never fully healed, for example) and stomach aches/digestive issues. It can also help with turning breached babies.
